Wow, it's been a busy and exciting year at mod7!
A few things have changed, like a growing team and a new space. Yet other things remain the same: we're still producing award-winning, innovative work and working with the best clients and people.
Here are some project highlights from '09:
X-Weighted. We worked closely with the show producers to develop a digital strategy for this Slice Network exclusive. We gave the show its own clean makeover online, and a funky fresh iPhone app is currently in the works, too — all intended to support a much larger initiative that we can't talk about just yet. But it will be exciting to reveal — keep posted!
The 100 Mile Challenge. This transmedia project started with a show on the Food Network and blossomed into a website packed with community tools. It lets you to take the "100 Mile Challenge" yourself, find local foods near you using Google Maps, share recipes, track yourself on the desktop "widget", and more. Long after the show wrapped, the site is still going strong!
Vancouver International Partnering Forum. The Forum was "speed dating for businesses looking to get business". We designed the identity, built the site, and handled collateral and print promotion. The event turned out to be a great success for both local and international businesses.
Titanium Chef Online. Titanium Chef is an online interactive narrative for Canadian kids, launched by the BC Dairy Foundation and mod7. Only a couple of months old, it's already been named Best Kids Interactive in Canada at the Canadian New Media Awards! Its success as a teaching tool has been picked up by media outlets across Canada, including the Georgia Straight.
Awards and recognition for 2009 include: Applied Arts Interactive Awards 2010, Best Kids Interactive-Canadian New Media Awards, Georgia Straight, Vernon Morning Star, Jay Is Games, Prince George Citizen, Marketing, Webby Awards Official Honoree and more.
A big "thank you" to our clients and our people for making 2009 our best year ever in every possible way. 2010 is already shaping up to be even better with exciting new projects on the horizon.
Happy Holidays from everyone at mod7.
